Universal Design Award for Naber
Two juries have awarded the NABER-CONTURA® built-in sink Corno Turno, and certified that it meets the special criteria of universal design. The innovative stainless-steel sink with integrated swivelling faucet is thus considered a future-proof solution for the largest possible target group and for sustainable operation.
Naber received the "Universal Expert Award 2020" and the "Universal Design Consumer Award 2020" for the Corno Turno at the Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW) at the beginning of March. The Institute for Universal Design in Munich organised the exhibition and the jurying.
The double award shows what is special about this design prize: products entered for the competition are reviewed and assessed by design experts on the one hand and by a consumer group of about 100 people on the other. Independently of each other, both teams of jurors voted to award the design prize to the built-in sink.
Corno Turno is designed by Naber as a sink combination for installation in front of a window, with a faucet that can simply be sunk into the bowl. The swivelling faucet is also an advantage in kitchen islands, because when fully inclined it gives a clear view of the surrounding area. With the precisely fitting chopping board, the sink transforms into additional work surface, which is especially important for small kitchens in urban living spaces.
