Smart electronics and virtual views were pure utopia in 1926. Nevertheless, the Frankfurt Kitchen, initiated by Ernst May and realised by the Viennese architect Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky, was pioneering for the development of contemporary kitchen worlds.
