Review interzum Cologne 2019
Kitchen accessories for feel-good concepts that connect different living areas
Living areas are now less clearly separated from each other than they were just a few years ago, and premium kitchen accessories are spurring this trend. Alongside the classic kitchen themes of built-in sinks and ventilation technology, at the interzum 2019 in Cologne Naber put the focus on lighting concepts that connect different areas, as well as on the award-winning utensils box Cox Work®. With this, the broadly-based kitchen accessories specialist proves that even within the waste collection range it is possible to develop a product that also provides outstanding service outside of the kitchen.
The portable and highly flexible storage box can be seamlessly integrated into the Cox® containers of the SELECTAkit® waste collection range – for cloths, tabs, cleaners and washing-up brushes. But Cox Work® is also in demand as an organisational talent in the office, children’s room, hobby room and garden. The utensils frequently used in everyday life are clearly arranged and quickly to hand. A separate small parts tray can be attached to the handle, and the Cox Work® compartments, which are available in four trendy colours, can be further subdivided using separating strips.
Sustainable solutions for a healthy indoor climate
From a consumer perspective, the themes of sustainability and energy efficiency are proving increasingly relevant. For Naber they have been important requirements since the beginning of the development of kitchen ventilation technology. COMPAIR STEEL flow®, the non-combustible air duct system made of metal, is completely recyclable and, thanks to its outstanding stability, offers a variety of installation options - also in floors and ceilings. The special guide vane technology in the COMPAIR® air ducts reduces turbulence, thus decreasing noise and increasing energy efficiency.
So that the pollutants generated during cooking and frying are also effectively removed with a recirculating air solution and pollute the room air as little as possible, Naber has launched the modular system COMPAIR® GREENflow. The innovative filter technology provides for high cleaning performance and the filters themselves can be regenerated many times.
The innovation in the field of wall conduct technology, which Naber presented to the trade public in Cologne, aims at low resource consumption: in conjunction with downdraft or hob ventilators, the Turbo wall conduct including THERMOBOX can be installed near the ground in the outer wall, thus enabling short duct routes. The slats of the elegant external blind - made of weatherproof stainless steel - are shaped so that the vapour is reliably and cleanly led away from the building wall by means of a strong open jet.
Platform for smart light
Situationally appropriate lighting scenarios provide for wellbeing in the kitchen and adjacent living areas not just when cooking and eating. LED technology makes it possible to switch from invigorating to relaxing lighting by changing the light colour. The attention of many trade fair visitors was therefore drawn to the very simple-to-install LUMICA® LIC LED system that connects different light sources centrally or decentrally. The corresponding smartphone or tablet app or a wireless remote can be used to control the system. A motion detector or door contact switch are also suitable.
Sink and faucet as a visual unit
Especially when living space is limited, it is important to make intelligent use of the area available. The sink can also make a contribution here, as the NABER-CONTURA® range demonstrates. The durable built-in sinks made of stainless steel or a composite material inspired by nature are available in minimalist to generous forms. Cutting boards, drip pans and trays create additional working levels for preparing and cleaning. A graphite- or copper-coloured stainless steel sink is an attractive eyecatcher in the kitchen, especially if the colour is harmonised with that of the faucet. With the ARMATE® range from Naber, which has been expanded to include new colour designs, the sink and faucet can be precisely tailored to each other.
